Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, the leading - historic resort on the beautiful CT shoreline, is seeking a passionate, hardworking individual to join our team and oversee our established kitchen operations.

The Executive Chef shares responsibility in meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. This person will oversee and contribute in all aspects of our kitchen’s hands on, including and not limited to:

• Seasonal menu creation and execution
• Ordering and inventory
• Vendor relations
• Team management - educate, train, retrain, and develop team members within the kitchen department
• Work directly with Food and Beverage Director, Banquet Chef and Sales Managers to ensure organization of details for booked catering events
• Manage department budgets
• Perform monthly inventory
• Comply with all applicable safety and sanitation standards
• Perform quality control on all food that leaves the kitchen
• Work under pressure

Competitive compensation package commensurate to relevant experience.

Qualifications

2 continuous years as Executive chef

2 continuous years of high-volume Banquet kitchen operations

5 years of fine dining

Culinary degree preferred but not required

Serve Safe Manager Certification required
